This is a unique, one-and-a-half hour tour (sometimes more) of a portion of the historical underground network in Portland; an above-ground orientation is followed by an underground tour that will allow you to see remnants of Portland's past that were hidden for decades. All participants must provide proof of ticket purchase (paper or e-ticket), and must sign the tour waiver (hard copies available on site). ***If you choose not to purchase tickets in advance, tours are $4 more per person, payable with exact cash only, as available, at the door.*** Tour tickets are non-refundable and non-cancellable. *No children under four years of age are allowed on the tour, including infants.*
You will have the following tour options when you arrive at the location, as described on our website. Note: ALL tours are 85% pure shanghaiing history (known as the Heritage Tour). Added in, if tour participants choose, is either:
*Ghost History - several anecdotes about sightings/hauntings/experiences of the past hundred-plus years. This is NOT a haunted house! (If you want photos, voice recordings, and paranormal equipment demonstrations, those are available on the Friday-the-13th weekends throughout the year.)
*Ethnic Heritage History - additional information regarding the past ethnic diversity of the Old North End, the many contributions of the Chinese, Japanese, and other minorities, and the tragic discrimination toward those minorities.
We can also blend the histories at participants’ request.
If our posted schedule does not meet your needs in regard to dates and times, and you have your own group of at least fifteen participants (for a school or business group, family celebration, etc.), please give us a call at 503-622-4798.
